We launched our voter registration and engagement campaign towards the end of 2017. The focus of the campaign is on Muslims, minorities, women, and youth, groups that are typically underrepresented in elections. Unfortunately, we know that these communities are the ones most impacted by the racist, xenophobic, and Islamophobic policies passed by certain elected officials, who are more interested in spreading hatred and fear than in protecting their constituents’ rights. Through voter registration and mobilization efforts, we are hoping to civically engage these communities and motivate them to become lifelong advocates who can help create positive social and policy change.
