Islamic residents of the parched San Gabriel Valley will pray for rain at Sunday’s afternoon prayers, leaders announced today.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations asked other denominations and creeds to join them in prayer during services this weekend.
The public was invited to join worshippers at the mosque at 1:15 p.m. Sunday at the Islamic Center of the San Gabriel Valley, 19164 E. Walnut Drive North, in Rowland Heights.
