Alhamdulillah, the CAIR California team has published our 2020 Voter Guide.
This biennial publication is one of our largest undertakings and compiles three unique resources to assist you as you prepare to vote in the November 2020 election:
- Congressional scorecard
- State legislative scorecard
- Statewide proposition guide
The scorecards reflect the voting performance of our state’s:
- Members of Congress and the U.S. Senate
- Assemblymembers and Senators
The votes of each legislator have been rated positive or negative depending on how closely their votes on relevant legislation corresponded with civil rights and social justice priorities identified by CAIR-CA.
The guide also includes CAIR-CA’s recommendations on the state’s ballot propositions. As a non-profit organization, CAIR-CA cannot campaign for or against specific candidates but is able to endorse ballot measures.
Your contributions made this voter guide possible, and for that we thank you.
We hope you will share the voter guide, join us at our various virtual elections events this month, and plan to attend our first statewide Virtual Annual Banquet on Saturday, Nov. 7.
We will use the opportunity to reflect on the challenges we face, celebrate our accomplishments, and lay the foundation for our civic engagement work to continue past Election Day. To access the Voter Guide, click HERE.
