CAIR-LA is looking to close the year out by raising $100,000. With a year of accomplishments behind us, the real work lies ahead. As we draw nearer to 2024, our goals are:
1 – Advocating for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza;
2 – Protecting the doctors, lawyers, and professionals in our community who are being terminated and targeted for their beliefs;
3 – Defending students who are being bullied by their peers and wrongly disciplined by school administration for supporting Palestine; and
4 – Being a voice of truth in the media, in person, and online.
5 – Recruiting an additional Civil Rights attorney to assist our legal department with the unprecedented increase in reported hate incidents and crimes affecting our community.
Your support will allow a team:
- That is operating at 400% of its original capacity
- That has received over 500 civil right intake reports
- That has spoken/visited over 50 communities to educate/empower people on what is happening in Palestine
- That is working with a limited staff meeting with elected officials to demand public ceasefire proclamations
