At CAIR, our values include protection of civil rights and full participation in civic life for all people. Let’s stand together and tell our elected officials that the nearly 50,000 people on parole in California have a right to be heard. These community members have a right to fully participate in democracy! Assembly Constitutional Amendment 6 (ACA 6) will give voters in California an opportunity to choose to restore voting rights for people on parole on the 2020 ballot. Assembly Bill 646 (AB 646) a measure that would create parallel changes in California’s Elections Code has already passed in the House and sent to the Senate.
