In recognition of United Against Hate Week, CAIR-SFBA will hold a Bystander Intervention Training that teaches bystanders about the principles of nonviolence and de-escalation techniques. In this training, participants learn hands-on skills to help them:
- De-escalate a hate incident before it leads to violence.
- Create a safe space.
- Support the person being targeted.
This presentation will also touch on school bullying, with the goal of empowering students and parents with the tools needed to advocate for themselves in school.
