Whom do you accept as clients?
We accept anyone whose case falls into our civil rights or immigration case parameters, which can be found through the link above, and who lives in our coverage area (see below). Many of our clients are from the Muslim community, but we help anyone in need!

What other services do you offer?
We offer Know Your Rights Clinics, Bystander Intervention Trainings, Free Immigration Law Clinics, Naturalization Fairs and other workshops. You can sign up/request one here. We also have our Annual Banquets, Muslim Day at the Capitol, Muslim Youth Leadership Program, Muslim Gamechangers Network, volunteer/intern social justice and advocacy projects, and more! What regions do you cover?
We cover most of Northern and Central California. We have a total of four offices – three in Sacramento and one in Fresno. We cover everything from the California border with Oregon down to Kings and Tulare counties – excluding the greater Bay Area. Here’s a map that shows our coverage area (outlined in black):

Are donations to CAIR-Sacramento Valley/Central California Zakat-eligible and tax-deductible?
Yes, donations to us are both Zakat-eligible and tax-deductible. “As a dedicated organization to defend the rights of Muslims and to promote better understanding of Islam, CAIR is indeed eligible to receive part of the Zakat funds for its programs and services,” according to Dr. Muzammil H. Siddiqi, Chairman of the Fiqh Council of North America.
