Reshad Noorzay serves as the Development and Special Projects Director at the Council on American-Islamic Relations Sacramento Valley/Central California. He was born and raised in Los Angeles to Afghan immigrants who encouraged education and good character. He received his BA from UCLA and his Master’s from SCU in Information Systems. He spent over a decade in Silicon Valley at companies including Google, Amazon, and various startups. He’s also served in various capacities at Islamic Relief USA, MAS National, and other community organizations.
He currently resides near Berkeley, CA with his wife and 2 kids. In his free time, he loves training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, horseback riding, surfing, and other outdoor activities.
