The Sacramento Valley/Central California office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SV/CC) today condemned leaflets left on the doorsteps of 10 different residences and a playground in Carmichael advertising a white supremacist church.

On Tuesday, the leaflets were found in a Carmichael neighborhood near California Avenue and Palm Avenue and Deterding Elementary School’s playground with white supremacists messaging, Nazi swastikas, and mentions of Aryan Nations. An investigation has begun by Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

“We condemn this act of hate in the Carmichael neighborhood, especially in an area with a sizeable refugee community. We encourage any witnesses to come forward with information about this hateful incidence and call on the County Sheriff’s Office to conduct a thorough investigation.”
