You have likely heard news about the suspicious envelopes mailed to the CAIR offices in Santa Clara and DC on Thursday.
Local and federal authorities responded quickly and are currently investigating. We appreciate their rapid assistance.
Alhamdulillah no injuries have been reported and it appears the substance was benign.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to express their support. We have been positively overwhelmed by the outpouring of concern from community members, elected officials, the media, interfaith leaders, and our fellow Americans.
We will be taking increased precautions to protect our team and ensure we are able to continue our work on the frontlines.
Know that this will not silence your civil rights lawyers and advocates. Today, we stand even more resolutely in the face of increasing Islamophobia, prepared to protect your civil rights.
