I pray I find you and your family healthy and in the best spirits. 2020 has been a challenging year but we continue to make progress because of your prayers and support.
Amidst all of it, today is a special day. Giving Tuesday, tail ends the holiday weekend with a focus on charitable giving.
This Giving Tuesday we are striving to change lives and reinforce hope in our community despite the ongoing pandemic. We are motivated to show up and represent our community more than before and we continue to seek your support.
Today, we ask that you extend your generosity to CAIR-SFBA by joining our Champions of Justice program, an initiative focused on sustaining our efforts through monthly giving. Your membership will help us create a constant and dependable funding stream. This work demands consistent, reliable efforts to serve you in these unprecedented times.
Whether or not you have already given this year, this ask, today is for sustained giving. In 2020, our donors enabled us to:
- Educate thousands of Muslims about the importance of the Census and ensuring a complete count, by working with leaders, masajid, partners, and volunteers
- Mobilize thousands of Muslims toward meaningful participation in the 2020 election through educational events, our state and local voter guides, and direct voter engagement
- Assist over 600 community members with legal advice and services on issues including, but not limited to, immigration, law enforcement targeting, and unemployment
- Graduate over 40 students through our now virtual Muslim Gamechangers Network and Muslim Youth Leadership Intensive, and train hundreds more through our new Muslim Youth Live
Our monthly donors give us stability. When the economy was uncertain, our monthly income was not. When we were too busy responding to crises to regularly ask for support, we knew our monthly donors would be there nonetheless.
